The Made in Ireland project has been established to clearly identify fashion products that have been, like it says, “Made in Ireland“. Spearheaded by ReDress, The Better Fashion Initiative which we have featured on the pages of Classic with Colour – it’s with excitement that we share with you this brilliant idea!

The ‘Made in Ireland’ logo will be visible on all high quality fashion & accessories products that are produced in Ireland starting now, November 2011. And these designers are all fly the flag…

The brain child of Irish designers Margaret O’Rourke, Wendy Crawford and Eilis Boyle, the wonderful Irish boutique Bow, located in the historic Powerscourt Townhouse in the heart of Dublin City has recently launched their online shopping experience. And what an experience it is!

With an eclectic mix of Irish designers including Edmund McNulty, Electronic Sheep, Natalie Coleman, Louloubelle, Tim Ryan as well as as the owners collection’s Momuse, Wendy’ Wardrobe and Eilis Boyle stocked in store along side vintage pieces, a great selection of pieces are available online.

CIFD Council of Irish Fashion Designers

Established in early 2011, the Council of Irish Fashion Designers (CIFD) is a representative body for all of it’s members, headed up by a strong, talented and business savvy board.

CIFD represents some of Ireland’s most established designers as well as some of the fresh, new, up and coming talent in Ireland. Headed up by legendary retail and fashion genius Eddie Shanahan, board members include Aideen Bodkin, Lucy Downes, Niall Tyrrell and Sophie Rieu.

CIFD gives Irish designers a voice, support and representation in the fashion world. The council aims to encourage and nurture rising talents entering the fashion industry, share information through organised events, lectures as well as speak on behalf of all members to media, government, state bodies and the public while promoting the best interest of each member.
