Denis Kenny of Ceadogan Rugs

Denis Kenny is the rug master who creates each piece through the gun tufting method using a hand-held tufting gun. Using this method allows each rug to feature individual characteristics, including contrasting textures, various pile heights as well as carved details, all completed by hand. With luxurious materials including wool and silk used to make each piece, these talented rug masters ensure the best quality and finish is achieved. Picnic in the Park, Redmond Park

Redmond Park is a park on Spawell Road in Wexford which I spent many days as a child playing ‘Tip the Can’, having contests on the swings and long summer evenings. It is quite literally a stones through away from my house and have enjoyed it in recent years with younger family members and cousins.

Slowly but surely it has been given a facelift over the years with new equipment in the playground, re-erecting the Willie Redmond statue, putting in bird houses but through Love Redmond Park, a local community initiative headed up by Senan O’ Reilly the face lift continues.

Love Redmond Park has been instrumental in getting the park used to its full capacity again, with the latest event held at the weekend, Picnic in the Park. With entertainment for kids and adults, performances by dance and MMA groups as well as a well needed dry day, it was well attended and hugely successful!

Congrats to all involved – Keep up the good work!

Arm Candy

Layered bracelets are something that I love, whether it is ethnic braided pieces to coordinating bangles. For me, I love silver and white gold jewellery as it is so elegant.

This is my selection of arm candy which I wear most of the time with every outfit, day or night.

Tiffany & Co.

I wear two Tiffany bracelets. The large cuff was a present  from my parents for my 18th birthday and the other is a silver chain bracelet with a Tiffany padlock charm. Both pieces are from the 1837 collection, one of my favourites for casual jewellery.

John Rocha

John Rocha is an Irish designer who brought out a jewellery range a few years back. Pearls are my birth stone and the silver crosses represent my religion so when I saw this piece I fell in love with it. My grandmother spoils me with a “few euro for a cup of coffee” regularly and recently I have used this to purchase pieces that I can have forever and this was one of them.

Pandora

Pandora are one of the cult charm bracelets that have been on trend in recent years. A fantastic selection of charms are available, these charms are neutral and simple and collectively represent something to me. This was a gift at christmas and is so special to me. Both the Pandora charm bracelet and John Rocha bracelet are from the wonderful Hynes Jewellers in Wexford, Ireland. They are leading and exclusive stockists of wonderful jewellery brands as well gift wear and diamond specialists.
